about

untitled is a comic about a dead guy. so it's not really all that much about a dead guy because corpses aren't really all that interesting. joe was a boring kid who didn't really do much of anything with his anything. one day he gets hit by a car and dies.

problem: he only died because the person who killed him failed to die when they were meant to some odd years ago. this causes a problem in the fabric of reality or some kind of nonsense, so joe is undead and outside of the typical experience of life death or other.

his inadvertent killer, rocky, is trapped in a state of perpetual survival as death won't accept him since he's already supposed to be dead. as a result, he's unknowingly immortal. either he just barely survives, or the universe bends around to prevent his death as it's just not possible. this wouldn't be an issue if not for the fact that rocky is a former mob thug running from the law and his former mob friends he has in some way betrayed.

death asks joe to take rocky out of circulation, because since neither life or death recognize joe, it's possible for him to kill rocky without it being an official death, correcting at least one mistake. joe does not want to do this and instead follows rocky around, waiting to learn how to control his state of reality and try to smooth things over.

recent events in the comic include: rocky learning his father has been dead for a few years and that his ex-wife and ex-best friend have kept this a secret from him. joe learning he's become a ticking time bomb, literally, as in, he's apparently going to explode. frank is in the hospital from rocky having shot him early in the story, and his condition has been worsening as he recounts his story to two police charged with watching over him.

outside of the story directly, untitled was a crappy short story idea i turned into a comic on a whim, because i wanted to draw more and have an excuse to improve in story-telling and art skill. i still fail. that aside, it's a way for me to entertain myself and have something to think about when i'm trying to sleep or have nothing better to do. as a result, and let me put this in big, blinking letters for emphasis to make it clear--

the update schedule is very, very UNRELIABLE

--i may update 6 pages at a time, and then not update for two months. i have not "quit" the comic, i just don't do this for a living and i know it's never going to be popular.

this entire project has basically been me throwing in various things i like or think of at the time, work myself into a mess, and then spend the rest of my time trying to work myself out of the mess. this isn't my life's work, it's inconsistent, poorly planned, etc. i just draw it because i enjoy dicking around. that's all :3

i started untitled in november of 2004, it's switched several hosts in that time. it's over 200 pages and it's not about to quit. there is an end in sight, and when it's over i have a side/after project relevant to the characters/story which i want to make outside of the normal story. so this is gonna go on a while. forgive my massive dryspells in the meantime, there are a lot of things i still wanna do.
